Now is a great time to clean out your medicine cabinet!

Help keep our kids, families and communities safe – properly dispose of the medicines you no longer need.

Did you know that medicines in the home are a leading cause of preventable poisoning?  And misuse of prescription medicines is the fastest growing cause of addiction and overdose deaths in our communities?

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration and participating local law enforcement are coordinating a nationwide drug “take-back” day on April 27th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no cost to residents to dispose of unwanted and expired medicines and it’s anonymous.

Find a location at www.TakeBackYourMeds.org/what-you-can-do/locations. If you miss this event, check the website to find a temporary take-back location.
