Program partners working to sort out lead exposure at local gun range

Protect yourself and your family

The alarming case of families exposed to lead during cleanup and construction at Wade’s Eastside Guns in Bellevue underscores the need for all workers to pay attention to how they may be inadvertently bringing home contaminants.

Dusts and contaminants from work can be carried into family cars and homes if workers are not showering, changing out of work clothes or laundering them separately from family clothes.

Two children of the construction workers had high blood lead levels. Currently, there are no safe levels of lead exposure for children, which may cause serious long term health problems.
