Come for the fun boat rides and music and stay for the celebration. This is a great time to meet many of the folks helping clean up the Duwamish River and to find out what is going on and what is planned. Bring your questions about what is hazardous too; our Hazards Line and Seattle-King County staff will be there with the answers.
We will be there with tips on how to find and use safer household products, what to take for easy disposal and handing out free Mr. Yuk Stickers! Information is available in Spanish too.
Make Mr. Yuk a part of your family this year. Household products are still the top reason families are calling the Washington Poison Center’s hotline (1-800-222-1222). Many are toxic, the labels hard to read – especially for kids, folks who don’t read English well, or who have poor eyesight, and the colorful labels and fun colored fluids can look like food. There are often safer versions of your favorite products – come learn how to find them and find out which products get a Mr. Yuk sticker.
