Websites and Yellow book commended

All Battery Sales and Service’s e-newsletter to its customers shared the easy to use guide to hazardous waste management; the online Yellow Book (from the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County):

First of all, the county makes hazardous waste recycling as accessible as possible. They do this in a number of ways including an excellent website resource that has a great deal of information on all types of recycling at King County Hazardous Waste.

Next is a link that takes you to county facilities that accept hazardous waste such as batteries: Disposal Locations

Finally, they have a link that shows where businesses can find a resource for disposal of a particular Hazardous Waste. This online resource is called the Yellow Book.

They have 398 waste products they can locate a waste handler for. You look at the left hand side of the page and select “Waste Materials”. Then type in what you want to dispose of, say, “alkaline batteries”, and drop that into “Safely  Dispose or Recycle” and it will take you to vendors who can safely dispose of or recycle your material. You’ll see All Battery Sales and Service in there!

What a great resource to easily find where to take hazardous waste!

Thanks All Battery! We are happy you like the resource and hope your customers like it too.
